The Working Principle Of An Automated Production Line For Automotive Electric Strut Assemblies

The operating principle of the electric strut is based on kinematic calculations; through the coordinated operation of a series of precision components, it enables the smooth opening and closing of the tailgate. The electric strut features an internal motor and Hall sensors; upon receiving a command to open or close, the motor activates to drive a lead screw. The rotational motion of the lead screw is converted into linear extension or retraction via a nut guide tube, thereby driving the tailgate to open or close.

Performance Advantages of the Electric Strut

Laser Welding Technology

The outer tube of the strut utilizes the latest laser welding technology, which simultaneously enhances waterproofing capabilities while reducing both component weight and part count.

Integrated Waterproof Bellows

The waterproof bellows feature an integrated design, further bolstering the unit's water resistance.

2-Stage Planetary Gearing

The drive motor is paired with a 2-stage planetary gear system to reduce rotational speed and increase torque, resulting in lower noise levels.

Flexible Coupling Structure

The adoption of a flexible coupling structure delivers superior NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) performance, ensures a more robust gearbox, and facilitates more stable operation.

Riveting Process

The end fittings are secured using a riveting process, providing high compressive strength and enhanced safety.
