Ten Stations With Full Data Traceability
This semi-automatic line assembles electric tailgate struts through ten stations: exhaust ring spin riveting, screw shaft grooving, bearing press fitting, grease spraying on the screw shaft, motor assembly, spring oil spraying, final assembly, function testing, angle adjustment, and finished packing. Quick-change fixtures support multiple models. When switching to a different tailgate strut, you only need to change the fixture; the program switches automatically without further machine adjustments.
A full data traceability system is built into the line. Every station scans a QR code, binding the serial number to the entire process. Start time, end time, and test data are recorded automatically. The machine will alarm if the previous station is incomplete.
Multiple Layers of Error-Proofing
When changing the fixture, scanning the QR code ensures the correct program is selected. Several layers of error-proofing prevent mistakes: the machine alarms if a part is missing, empty material boxes are detected via electrical signals, and a new box requires a QR code scan to restart the process. Safety is ensured with a light curtain and emergency stop system.
The control system consists of a Siemens PLC with a 7-inch touch screen, an Advantech industrial computer, and a 22-inch large display. The frame is constructed from 45 aluminum profile on the upper section and welded square tube at the base. Pneumatic components are from SMC. This is a fully automatic assembly and test line for electric tailgate struts.
