One Machine for Two Different Structures

This machine assembles the compressor housing and center housing. The housing clamps automatically, and the core aligns precisely. Plate screws are inserted, followed by torque-controlled tightening. It works with both clamp and snap ring structures. Switching between products requires no additional hardware - a simple adjustment is all that is needed.

We use a pneumatic chuck for positioning. Once the housing is placed, the end face aligns automatically, and the chuck clamps the part. This ensures consistent assembly position every time, delivering high repeatability. The machine follows a strict tightening sequence using a torque-controlled wrench. A part only receives a pass signal when the torque reaches the preset value; otherwise, it does not move forward.

Operation is easy: the worker only loads the parts and presses start. The machine handles clamping, assembly, tightening, and release automatically. The cycle time is stable, making it ideal for high-volume production.

The core steps are: housing clamping, core alignment, plate assembly, screw pre-loading, and torque-controlled tightening. Automatic clamping is achieved via a pneumatic chuck, ensuring high precision with consistent end face alignment. Switching between clamp and snap ring structures is accomplished with the press of a single button.

We use Siemens PLCs, motors, and touch screens for control systems, and FESTO and SMC components for pneumatics. ABB robots are also integrated where required. For example, our car air conditioning pipe assembly line used a Yaskawa six-axis robot.
